He was [censored]. Maybe more so than Lance. Chased Jan, etc down and told em to chill. Zubeldia and
Mayo looked at him like he was crazy. Even more respect is due. Greg

Yeah, when I recorded the rerun I saw him use his *good* arm to block someone.

LA, Mayo, and JU were a ways ahead of Hamilton's group when the crash happened. The video shows JU
sitting up, looking back, and waiting for the group. When they catch, Basso starts past Ullrich (so you know Ullrich wasn't pounding hard - none of them
were), THEN Tyler pulls ahead and starts waving his arms.Ullrich was already waiting; Tyler passed the word to the *rest* of the group in case they hadn't
got it already.Mark Janeba

And you clueless moron should better shut the f*** up. Jan was already waiting for Lance
Hamilton knows that the tour is about drama, and he has been doing auditions for the biggest part.
Indeed, Ullrich was already swaggering from side to side and talking to the other riders when Tyler
Hamilton, Champion of Sports, proclaimed himself Leader of The Race and heroically surged forward to
stand up for Fairness and Justice. What a loser. I'm surprised anyone actually believed his bad
piece of theatre.Jonathan.

Note that I didn't mention Jan. He was in the midst of deciding whether to push on or not when Tyler
came up and remided the front runners of race etiquette. Soon thereafter, Lance rejoined. Imagine
the gap Lance would have put on Jan if not for the crash. His attack would have been even more
devastating if begun on the lower slopes. Jan certainly benefitted from the crash. Greg -

less time gain for Armstrong. Or not.-WG
