Hamilton over Ulrich?

Maybe he's still suffering from his "lackluster" (4th really isn't that bad) performance in the Tour. Who knows, he could of just collapsed under the pressure to do well to make up for that.

Actually, If I recall right, Hamilton is a year older then Ulrich, so if Ulrich is getting old, then Hamilton is done right ancient.

I'm in total agreement with Tinjoy's sentiments.
I was even cheering for him to win over the British representative.

Good for you Tyler , one of the most likeable pro-riders around and most deserving of some success.

I'm an Ullrich fan, but I'm glad for Hamilton, I like him. I really didn't want Ekimov to win.
I would also like to ask the question: what the heck is happening with Jan Ullrich? I mean, I don't recall ever seeing him making such an embarrasement out of himself.

I dont really have a favourite rider : i wanted Lance to break the record TdF wins even though i have alot of time for Hamilton and Ulrich.

If i had to cheer for a rider week in , week out , id lend my support to Hamilton.Although i really cant see him threatening to win the TdF like he did 2 years ago.

Next year in that case it'd be nice to see Ulrich finish his career with a TdF win , he might be a lazy sod at times but he deserves a 2nd.
Hopefully this year was a blip.I thought his TdF was awful , regardless of finishing 4th.
Mental demons , thats what i'd put it down to Jony.

Roughly 3 years older
Jan is 30 tyler 33

I have seen various ages listed for tyler ( I think even the tour website is in error), but he is 33.
Everybody assumes he is younger than Lance, but is actually a year older.
Started cycling later than most top pros.
Tyler is starting to accumulate a nice palmares
Winner of several 2.HC races- Dauphine, Romindie X2, a fourth and a second in the grand tours, a victory in Liege, and now a gold medal.

As far as is Jan too old look at Eki at age 38!!!!!!!

HOw come you didn't want Ekimov to win, there really isn't anything I could think of that would have someone not either root or cheer for him.
