Morning had broken, and I found when I looked that we had run out
of copper roove nails.

The original Chopper was never uncool even if it wasn't a particular
good bike. I had a lot of fun on mine but never ventured too far with
it. To be honest I'd quite like a new version but truly hate the
saddle and backrest monstrosity on it. One thing though surely the new
Chopper is a fair bit lighter what with it having a aluminium frame?

I suspect if I see a black or red chopper going for £99 even with the
stupid saddle I won't be able to resist.

It's lighter than the original. Alloy frame and rims.

I wonder if its any more stable than the original. 25mph downhill,
wheel wobble, crash, casualty with broken collar bone. *AND* I may
hasten to add, I was sober at the time :-)

Was this on the pavement?

Eventually yes. Sort of over the handlebars, very nice but brief
flight, then a nasty cracking sound as I hit the kerb and rolled onto
the pavement.

Course, there's probably someone out there thats going to say I was
murdering babies by unjustly and dangerously landing on the pavement
when there was a perfectly good runway 20 miles away, but hey, take your
complaints to Mr. Gravity.

Hmmm...I broke the other one not long back, until then I'd forgotten how
much broken collar bones hurt :-(
