  1. I've been using my HAC4 for six months and like it a lot (although the software takes some getting used to.) One thing I cannot figure out is how to segment data during the ride into different laps. I'd like to keep track of my stats during the main part of the ride, and not have the warm-up and cool down portions included when I look at that section.

    Anyone figured it out

  2. One thought is to use there "marker" feature. If you have the imperial version (miles), press the UL and LL buttons briefly to set a mark. Do this when you finished warm-up phase. Then press it again when you start cool down.
When reviewing via software, you can analyze data between the marks. You can also delete data before and after the marks.
BTW, I agree that the software takes some getting used to. However once you get over that hump, it is quite powerful. Make sure you check there website for updates. Good luck.

  3. Thanks, I'll give that a try today.

  4. The trouble with hitting UL, UR is that only the portion of the ride during which the little mountain is fliashing is recorded. You end up losing track of the miles you did before and after you recorded a segment.

I'd like to mark segments, but record the entire ride.

With the imperial version (miles), pressing UL LL quickly causes a mark to be set. If you have the metric verion (which I think you have), then I believe you have to keep the UL LL buttons pressed for 3 seconds in order to set a mark. Check your manual.

Setting a mark will not cause the recording to stop.

  6. Thanks very much - that is what I was missing!
