No [censored]. To the Ebay seller: take the 5k, build an amazing new bike for a
measly 4k, get a Kryptonite NYChain for $100, and spend the leftover money
on dinners and movies for your girlfriend, who is probably ready to leave
you after hearing you [censored] about a 5 year old, heavily worn, sporadically
damaged bike. If you have 5k for a reward for THAT bike, you have 5k to
make everything better instead.
But yeah, bike theft sucks. Had my first-ever-bike-I-built-myself clipped
about 6 months ago (but you didn't see me offering a reward of 7-8 times
it's value for its return, either).

It's 5K if thief goes to nick - It's pretty safe money ! Even the 1K for a
conviction is about as safe as it gets. He's offering just about diddly
squat but it probably makes him feel better.

Think about this, the 5k is in British Pounds. In US Dollars you are
looking at $9,008, according to the Universal Currency Converter @
xe.com. For that kind of cash I would have new bike, my wife would have
a new bike, and I would have new computer lol.
