They wanted me to bring my guitar to work so I could play along while we sang carols. I'm not the
big guitarist, Duane is, but Duane had the flu, so it was just me playing while we sang. I think we
raised no more than $4.11 for the homeless with our singing, but we had fun, anyway.
So that I could transport the guitar, I took the bus to work, rather than my bike. I didn't have a
lot of ideas on how I could have taken the guitar on the bike, but I'm open to them. The ones I
came up with:
a. Bob Yak or similar trailer, which I don't own
b. Hanging it by the shoulder strap upside down on my back. Even for a beater guitar, and even
though it wasn't raining for once, that still made me nervous.
The intersection of bicyclists and guitarists is great enough, there might be other, more creative
notions out there, which I'd love to hear.
