  1. Hey everyone, am finding individual training a little boring, anyone know of any groups that ride around Melbourne?

come join us for the 'BR' (AlpeDueEast) rides. sundays 7:20am meeting at Doncaster Shoppington Corner. 3-4 hours out thru Kangaroo ground way. great mix of hilly/flat and bends.
Not boring/flat/dangerous like Beach Rd ;-)

So.. 3-4 hours so you finish before lunch?

Seems to me a 9am start means a late lunch, but much warmer fingers!

Yes that would be warmer fingers, but less time with family. Ahh
Sundays, the tears, the joy, the tantrums, the fun.

    DaveB beat me too it.
Besides, temperature is almost a perfect balance, once you get going and midday sun gets too warm IMHO.

I also find the fact that there are fewer cars on the road at that time rather appealing. If it was up to me, I'd specify a meeting time of 6:30 am. But then again, I'm yet even attend one of these rides.

Me too. the earlier i can get back and sneak in 'under the radar' the better for all concerned. And then there is a whole day to do something else

You should ride Saturday arvo, then you have
ALL day Sunday to play families!! :-D

My training plan says I'm allowed 2.5hrs
in E1/E2 on Sunday.. wonder if that works
    with BR9's plotted course?

Yep, it can only take one car to ruin your day. It can even be a parked one at that. 😄
