  1. I rode the NYC Century yesterday.

I was cruelly hung over. My buddy Dave whined and blubbered like a
giant spandexed baby throughout. The other two guys didn't even bother
    to show up.

As my traditional pre-century preparation consists of boozing myself
slurry into the wee hours, I found myself encountering some...
gastronomic distress. It's always a careful race to the rest stops --
too fast and you're stressing your delicate system, too slow and you
might not make it in time. It's sorta like racers setting up to
sprint, you neither want to take off too early nor too late, timing is
everything. I found my pace ("tempo du merde"😉 alternately croaking
out "Mister Would You Please Help My Pony" and groaning through
gritted teeth and blurred vision. Proudly, I succeeded in utterly
demolishing the bathroom at the Belt Parkway mile 36 rest stop,
emerging with my arms in the air like I'd just stolen a stage from
    Petacchi.

The weather was spectacular, all the Krispy Kreme and Nutella you can
gorge, and I scored some face time with a lovely I have a crush on who
was working the 56 mile rest stop. I managed not to offend her and
even got a kiss on the cheek, which provided me with both the strength
to ride on and a cheerful spandex boner.

Dave and I spent the remainder of the ride winging Clif Bars at
eachother, farting in pacelines, spraying eachother's crotches with
water bottles and giggling. We were dangerously close to a
ticklefight. It was getting very, very gay.

112 miles on the day. Took us forever.

    Huzzah!

    LOL!
Good stuff indeed. I felt the same way yesterday morning, but due to my own
laziness and horrendous weather I never got very far from the couch.

Leadville champ - what could I do?)

LOL. I did the Sckulkyl century yesterday and would of had the same gay
fun if it weren't for my buddy bonking out at mile 40. I did get to
ride along side some femmes, but none of them were of the boner inducing
quality. Next week I get to repeat the process for 150 miles over two
days, but there should be a few shore bunnies when I get to the half way
    mark.

Anywhere at all to ride offroad in Sicklerville? Even if it is flat?
Or in the surrounding area? What's the gnarliest thing in the
vicinity, other than the BMX track in Vineland?

    Thanks.

    /s

LOL! Well, you'll just have to try and make it difficult. It's the
pinies and it doesn't get more flat. Just off the top of my head...

Parvin State Park in Vineland has a lot of trails and an old quarry you
can fiddle around in. One trail has 20+ bridges on it. There's also a
lake you can cool off in after. This will be the closest to you.

Mantua Park (Cere's Park) in Mantua/Pitman is short with some obstacles.

Gloucester Community College has a six mile loop with surprisingly short
steep hills, water bars, and a few ladders and bridges.

Estelle Manor Park has a six mile loop through a historic WWI
    ammunitions factory area.

If you go over the Delaware Memorial Bridge, which is pretty close by
then you have a lot more interesting terrain. In Delaware you have
White Clay/Middle Run, Iron Hill, and Brandywine State Park. A little
south of there just over the border (it's not as far as it sounds) into
    MD is Fair Hills.

Saturday at 9:00 there is a small group from JAR riding at Mantua. If
you are there on Sunday, JAR (www.jerseyactionriders.org) has there
Sunday ride at Middle Run. You can check the ride page for more info.
This way you'd have some people to ride with (you can get lost there).
Just tell them Mitch sent ya.
