Geez, David, did the fresh scent of Roger lure you back or what?
Aside from Training Week and announcements for your race series, you've
been mightily scarce.
I've wanted to ask you a question. AFAIK you stopped smoking, started
running, and became reasonably fast reasonably quickly. Do you have
any insight, from either your own experience or second hand, into how
running performance might improve over time after quitting smoking?
Apart from normal training affect?
Last few years I've been either officially "quit" but really sneaking a
couple or more cigarettes per week or per day, or officially relapsed
and between a half and a full pack a day. But now I'm three months
past my last smoke and confident in keeping I it up. Been hoping for a
cleaner lungs dividend, if you will, in my running but don't feel like
it has made much difference yet. Any chance the ol' lungs & heart
start going gangbusters in the fourth or fifth smokefree month?
