I have Oury ODI lockons on my bike right now. Best of both. I was getting blisters/calluses on the pads of my upper palm from smaller grips (Intense ODI) I switched to the thicker Oury grip and no more problems. Easy to remove and work on shifters and stuff.

I was wondering do you still use a glove with these grips in warm weather? The ODI Lock-ons I use are a bit gooey but not too thick as far as I can notice. Reason I ask is that in winter I use a glove that has gel inserts in the upper palm. They have solved my pain problems. But I cannot stand using them in warmer weather because my hand sweat. I prefer in warmer weather to not wear gloves at all. If I do not wear gloves with my present grips I will start to get that dull pain running up my forearms. So I guess my real question boils down to just how much thicker are the Oury's and if I can get away with not wear gloves in the Spring and Summer?

I wear non padded gloves year around. I like to keep the skin on my hands when I crash.

When I tried wiring the ends of my Oury grips down, it worked okay for a while. But eventually middle of the grips started moving and, with the ends held more firmly in place, the grips started to tear.

Lock-On grips fixed the issue.
I know what you are talking about getting Oury's to stay put. Try "3M Super 77 Adhesive". Oury's are so flexible, that even after gluing them on, I can get them off without cutting them. I also put a nickels in

The Rogue has deeper grooves and soak up the trail noise nicely.
If you don't like bother, I hope you never have to deal with a ODI clamp-bolt that gets corroded in place.
