  1. I'm experimenting with an old, used, counter top grilling machine. It
burns the outside of food before the inside gets done. The lid also
gets too hot to touch or open without an oven mit.

    Are newer ones any better?

  2. George Foreman, baby... George Foreman.

Can't you turn it down? It's obvious its getting too hot.

No contest! George Foreman! Make sure you get one large enough to cook
bacon slices on. Easy clean up when you do it right away while the food
rests. Whipe down with a cold wet paper towel. By the time the bacon cools
off enough to eat your grill is clean.

Maybe the operative words here are "old" and "used". Maybe you need a new
Georgie!! My George will even warm buns for me!

Don't be so harsh. Maybe she backs up to it on chilly days.

George Foreman is good. But the Hamilton Beach MealMaker is better ...
because you can take out the grilling plates to wash them or EVEN put them
    in the dishwasher.

  11. Make sure you look at Hamilton Beach countertop grills! They're excellent.
I like them better than George Foreman, and they are cheaper, too.

Doesn't seem to get as hot as the GF Grill, though.

  13. As a Texan, and a self-appointed master of barbecue,. I want to give some
    lessons, here.

1). Barbecue and grrilling is about a bucket, a hole in the ground, an old
oil barrel. It's nothing about temperature or settings or anything like
that. You just know your meat and how to cook it.

    2) I think 1) just covered it.

Show me where this definition of a grill explains it as a bucket, hole in
the ground or an old oil barrel?

Heehee! There are a minimum of two things that the rest of us can't
discuss with Texans. Barbecue and chili. I'm sure there are others.

I enjoy a nice TX bbq. While driving through a few years ago we saw a bbq
place named Porky's. Of course we HAD to stop and it was quite good. I
want to know if Jim is a rub or a sauce man. A pig or a boar in a pit YUM!
