JTN - you got that right! From what I understand, Lance has his eyes set on Kona (Ironman) as well.
I bet a friend (who's an Ironman competitor himself) that Lance would break the course record on his
first attempt. He says no way. I said way just to irritate him. 🙂 We'll see. The Banzai Pipeline -
man, that is one DANGEROUS place.
As for kitesurfing yes, tacking, jibing, reversing and riding in fakie are all ways to turn around.
Experienced kitesurfers can ride upwind very effectively by keeping the kite in the power zone and
using the rail of the board for lift.
