Matt (that's from one of my favorite soundtracks!)
There's so many of us.
Gotta love hardcore punk. I am now singing a couple of Me 1st and the
Gimme Gimmees tunes. That's about as close to screaming as I want to
get.
New band too. The old one had some "show up for practice" issues. If I
can memorize 38 different lyrics in four weeks, there is no reason why
they can't learn to play them.
Bad Brains were probably my favorite but there was a lot of good stuff
back in my skate punk days.
That first Suicidal Tendencies album was a favorite of mine, as well as
anything from The Minute Men.
Bad Brains are definitely without a doubt one of the classic punk bands
ever. And I'm very west coast centric when it comes to punk bands.
And it's the minutemen!!! RIP d boon. And recently it's been the
secondmen. Mike Watt has to be the best bassist to come out of that era, he
sure was focused at the Stooges show.

Other stuff we were into included: DK, Circle Jerks, Meat Men, Reagan
Youth, DRI, The Bats, Dag Nasty, 7 Seconds, The Misfits, Danzig, and
probably many more I'm not thinking of.
In 10th grade my buddy got send home for wearing his "Golden Shower Hits"
shirt to school. 🙂
For me and my roommates it was Black Flag, Circle Jerks, TSOL, Agent Orange,
Bad Religion, Adolescents, Rik L Rik, DKs, Social Distortion, Fear, the
minutemen, Saccharine Trust, Circle One, The Germs, Cheifs, Shattered Faith,
Bad Brains, The Vandals. For some reason we never got into any of the east
coast bands other than Bad Brains, no Minor Threat, Misfits, or anything.
And I just found out the one Pettibon flyer I kept is worth over $100. For
a freakin' xeroxed flier:

Wish I'd had the foresight to grab stacks of his fliers back then.
