LOL! I never thought about the Coke connection. Actually, I really
like the almost chocolately nutty flavor of dark beer. But, I do have a
fondness for IPA as well. The Abbey is a seasonal brew, if I am not
mistaken or I thought the 1554 was the Abbey beer. Something about the
owner going to Belgium and finding a monk recipe from 1554. Anyway,
I'll look around. I have adopted a new drinking policy. No beer unless
I ride that day. Of course if I drink the beer before I ride, I
probably will not be riding that day. 😉

They are not the same (but they are both great IMO). I love bottle
conditioned beer!

Gimme Gimmees tunes. That's about as close to screaming as I want to get.

New band too. The old one had some "show up for practice" issues. If I
can memorize 38 different lyrics in four weeks, there is no reason why
they can't learn to play them.

Bad Religion, Adolescents, Rik L Rik, DKs, Social Distortion, Fear, the
minutemen, Saccharine Trust, Circle One, The Germs, Cheifs, Shattered Faith,
Bad Brains, The Vandals. For some reason we never got into any of the east
coast bands other than Bad Brains, no Minor Threat, Misfits, or anything.

And I just found out the one Pettibon flyer I kept is worth over $100. For
a freakin' xeroxed flier:

You have a few more on your list I forget to mention. Black Flag of
course (one of my first all ages shows) and TSOL was big too. Agent
Orange was one I had forgotten about. We used to love Alcohol (Can't
live without it! No doubt about it! - wasn't that them?). It was kind of

Definite love now, just don't know why I never picked them up back then.
But I can say a lot of their singles were hard to find, probably why
they're up in the several hundreds of dollars now.

The East Coast didn't get late TSOL? Or even early TSOL like "Property
is Theft", "Superficial Love", "Property is Theft", "No Way Out",
"Abolish Government/Silent Majority", and "World War III"?

I did mention the Germs, the Descendents were more of a novelty band to
me because of their songs like "I Like Food" and "Wienerschnitzel" so I
never really got into them, and I TOTALLY FORGOT X. I'll add in the Gun
Club now but there were so many bands back then who were incredible but
who weren't really punk.

You have a few more on your list I forget to mention. Black Flag of
course (one of my first all ages shows) and TSOL was big too. Agent
Orange was one I had forgotten about. We used to love Alcohol (Can't
live without it! No doubt about it! - wasn't that them?). It was kindof
a Friday night anthem along with TV Party Tonight.

Glad you mentioned X and the Germs. X was one of my all time favorite
bands; them and Agent Orange, who I still listen to today.
On one of the early Agent Orange albums they a had a couple tracks from
another band called Symbol Six, who sounded like they
had great promise. Unfortunately, they were never heard from again.

I nearly forgot about the Descendents.
