Thank you (and again, to other thread-respondents) - after a fair bit of
faffing trying to get it going (eventually getting my USB-serial thing

I've been using the pedometer thus far to manually record my routes - I
link to it a fair bit on my bike pages. I'd not really thought about
doing it the other way round - I suppose following the route on the GPS
is helpful to save faffing with directions and maps...? Hmm, I'll have
to experiement a bit!

The phone I'm currently developing software for, the HP iPAQ 6515, comes
with TomTom software for free. I have a half-amused, half-appalled vision
of teaching it audax routes, and have it talking to me from my back pocket
as I ride.
