all true.. it really would look better if they made a flippin effort..
that said it is a thing now for some reason.. hardly anyone has good
matching kit anymore.. but at the end of the day.. they are doing real
races, so.....

Colors that are blantantly different -- blue suits, say, and yelow
bikes can be really good. Colors that look like they were supposed to
match but don't are really bad.

This is a discussion of the difference between appalling
and shocking. I do not remark upon aesthetics of bicycle
kit color schemes; and if I did none would escape censure.
I figure that the colors make it easier to identify the
contestants, not to make them look good.

called advertizzzing! = the basis of the sport of cycling!

Advertisers advertise. Looking good has nothing to do with
it. They try to _prescribe_ what looks good; not abide
with and learn from what has proven over the ages to look
good. Look at the sleaze buckets wearing suits in the GQ
advertisements; look at the skanks in Elle and Vogue; I
can smell their breath from here.

Yeah but they fit the current definition of looking good. What the
hell does character have to do with presenting a good looking image.
Notice I didn't say presenting a good image, that's a whole different
category. Pam Anderson presents a good looking image, Alexandra Paul
presents a good image, and looks good doing it.
