15:50 CEST Now it's back to team duty for Isidro Nozal, who drifts back to the ONCE team car to
fetch some bidons for his teammates.

or from yesterday; Nozal is finally home in 27'31, totally knackered and totally beaten.

What's wrong with that? Victor Hugo Pena did that while wearing the Maillot Jaune during the tour,
even with teammates and manager saying it was inappropriate. Now that Nozal doesn't have the
leader's jersey, seems he's living up to his word, working for the team and it's "leader", IGG.

What amazes me is that he still was leader on the road (by 3 seconds) until the last Kilo. He held
on enough for the steepest part of the course and then just could not get over the panic. Truly, he
lost the fight in his head first, and then his legs followed.

    Dumbass -

Since he's 2nd on GC, he should be the leader. It's the last day.

Pena's situation was different - he knew he couldn't keep up in the mountains. Still, note that his
    teamates said it was inappropriate.

would have to agree with you there, although he twice lost 30 sec per KM. The focus of a DS helping
with his mental fitness would have helped immensely. As most images of him in the final stages show
he was basically cooked though. I'll say it agian, a great effort by ONCE to go out as champs. They
laid it all out there and came up just a little shy.

    1. You think Saiz would've helped his mental fitness 29 seconds worth?
    2. Nozal wasn't hung out to dry solo. Lejarreta was the assistant DS. Perhaps you've heard of him?

Good God, the man just rode himself into the ground over the past three weeks, giving ONCE and its
racing organization enormous publicity. Finally, on the last day of the race, when he has just
relinquished the golden jersey, the team wants him to fetch water bottles on what is essentially a
    promenade stage?

Hopefully I've got it wrong and he went back for different reason or as a joke.
