  1. My 2 year old recently went swimming in his wading pool with our digital camera, effectively turning
it into a wheel chock for my V2. I've got a ride coming up a the end of this month and I need a
digital camera, so I'm turning to the group before I head over to ebay.

My only requirement is that it be at least 2 mp and it must be reliable. Anyone here have a
digital camera that they'd like to sell? I'm a gold-plated, custom fitted, award winning, member
    of paypal, btw. :^)

Why buy used when you can get a good deal on new? Check with Ritz Camera, either brick or online
at ritzcamera.comritzcamera.com, and see if they still have the Nikon 2500 on sale. It's 2.1
megapixel, doesn't have an optical viewfiner, which makes it difficult to see what you're
shooting in light that's too bright, and has a red-eye problem, but a great macro, and a great
price. I got mine for $199, and I'm waiting on a Nikon $50 rebate as well. Hard to pass up such a
handy, bike-able camera for that kind of money!

You my want to check here. I have sometimes found deals much better than e- bay. This link takes you
to a very slim logitech camera I've wanted to try in person. tinyurl.comnqgk It is only
    1.3mp, my current Olympus is
1.4mp and gives fine quality pics. The NerdsNet has other cameras. Check around, sometimes the prices
are a major deal, other times NOT. Beware of weirdo($$$) size batteries. Get a camera that uses AA
or AAA NIMH rechargebles. Also try: overstock.comoverstock.com refurbdepot.comrefurbdepot.com

May all beings be happy. May they be joyous and live in safety. All living beings, whether weak or
strong, in high or middle or low realms of existence, small or great, visible or invisible, near or
far, born or to be born, Let no one deceive another, nor despise any being in any state; Let none by
anger or hatred wish harm to another. Even as a mother at the risk of her life watches over and
protects her only child, so with a boundless mind should one cherish all living things.

  4. I visited Overstock.com and noticed they have the FujiFilm 2650 (2.1
MP) for $149.90. This camera has gotten good reviews, and my sister has been happy with Fuji's
previous model, the FujiFilm 2600. Suggest visiting C-Net for their camera reviews before you
    make your final selection.

I think the 2650 uses the tiny xD memory cards, which I've heard are easy to lose, and it uses only
2 AAs, so battery life will likely be shorter than a camera that uses 4 AAs.

  5. Wait until the kid is 18 and then you can have things like digital cameras.

About two months ago I picked up a 3.2 Megapixel camera for $250 at Best Buy: Fuji FinePix A303.
It's really compact, takes really good pictures, and the built-in JPEG compression allows lots of
pictures to be stored on the 16 MB memory card, but it'll take bigger memry cards, up to 128MB in
capacity. No, it probably wouldn't hold up well in the pool. Perhaps you might want a diver's
    model? ;-)
