so much talent and attacking potential in that team.I have to agree. The team is so powerful, right to its very core... last
year, Petacchi took 4 stages in the first week and wore green until the
mountains. This year, two different exciting young riders have taken stages
and one of them was in yellow for two days. Not only that, but rather than beating Zabel, McEwen, Cooke, etc., they beat
Armstrong, Bettini, Brochard...And have I mentioned enough that Aitor Gonzalez would be in the ideal
position to attack unchecked?-Sonarrat.

No, Dario was 4th in the Giro, 3rd in Tour de Suisse, and won the
Italian TT. He needs the rest now. This is only his first season of
lots of high-intensity training to do well in races so he needs to be
careful.-WG

No, This is (was) Petacchi's team. A GC hopeful has no place and no support.

Bruseghin and at least one other rider chipped in to help Cioni in the
mountains in the Giro. I don't think Gonzalez is hurting for experienced
and ox-like support.-Sonarrat.

You can listen to what I say about this or not, your choice, but what I
said came straight to me from Dario's coach.-WG
