  1. Does anyone have recommendations for good meal planning software? I
would like something that can create a shopping list, handle just two
people, support low carb, and be able to stick to a calorie and macro
    nutrient limit.

MasterCook. The shopping list can even be synced to your palm if you
    are so inclined.

  3. " It's basically meat, fish, poultry, eggs, salad, veggies with a
    little
nuts and berries. Nothing to count really. Then just rotate.

For someone that claims to have followed Atkins, you sure are ignorant.

  4. The only thing he left out was: "This had worked for me."

Then maybe he should leave out the claim that he's doing Atkins.

Well sure if you want to be boring about it. I could think of dozens
of ways to prepare plain old chicken breast.

    Here's a great one:

saute onions mushrooms, garlics and herbs. Add a spoon of bread crumbs
or almond meal. You can do it in a lightly sprayed or non stick pan ior
with a little oil or butter.

place a boneless, skinkess flattened chicken breast on a piece oif
aluminum foil. Spoon on the cooked vegetables, roll the whole thing
tightly in the foil, seal the ends.

Bake on a flat pan at 350 for 3-035 minutes. Great hot or cold sliced.

  7. "Atkins is many things to many people. I prefer My Atkins. Or to be
    clear..
    My Way.

    I carbed it my way... o/~ o/~ o/~ "

Yeah, sure it is. Just make it up as you go along. Eat what you want,
do it your way. Then go around telling everyone how you tried Atkins,
it doesn't work, and you weigh more than ever. That's what typically
    happens.

Unless you read and follow Atkins plan, you are NOT doing Atkins.
Which is fine, I really don't care what you or anyone else does. As I
pointed out, however, I do take issue with folks that claim they are
doing Atkins, when they are not.

This isn't software, but check out Menu Mailer. She creates a menu each
week and sends you six recipes and a complete shopping list. There is a
charge. I have been using it for a while and I really like it. There is
    a free sample here:

"Try eating what is listed above, and try to get a carb count. You
would end up with a quite low carb count. "

Sure, like all vegs are low carb so you don't have to count right? Eat
all the potatoes carrots and beets you want.

"My guess is that Glassman was saying that with the way he eats, there
is nothing to count. Which is true. "

I don't really care what he or anyone else eats. I do tend to take
notice when people start giving advice to apparent newbies that you can
eat all you want, without counting anything, and then sign it with a
tag line that implies this is how they were successful on Atkins.

You need to get some meds, and calm down.... so far everyone but you has
understood my post, and clearly agreed with what I stated. Which was to eat
the whole foods mentioned, count carbs and rotate your menu. I don't and
never have counted calories or portion size while maintaining weight loss.
Yes I eat as much as I like. If you don't that's fine too. Several have
taken issue with your caustic style in attacking me. At what point will you
give up your undefensable position? After 10 or perhaps 20 people? Readers
can only share their own experences, and take what advice they like. After 7
years of losing 50 lbs permanently, do you think I'm doing induction? Do we
all have to follow the book word by word forever to be "doing Atkins"?
Relax, we're here to chat, exchange info, and have some fun. I've been
battling the nay-sayers and bashers for years but I never thought I'd meet a
    pro-Atkins troll!

  10. I use Mastercook on WW and like it because:

I can input recipes that are POINTed..and MC will figure the calories,
    carbs, fiber, fat, etc..

I can plan out my week's menu, print a shopping list and look throught
the pantry to see what I already have, thus saving $$ only buying what
    I need.

There are endless recipes out there for different eating
plans..MasterCook even has a LowCarb edition..

    Hope that helps!
