Congrats! Enjoy married life. It really is a great arrangement. One note of advice, though, when
your wife tells you she wants to come off the pill because it makes her feel sick, DON"T LISTEN TO
    HER!!! It's a trick!

Josh Now we're expecting and I'll never get my Heckler. Anyone wanna buy a convertible?

Congratulations, Shaun and Kath. Dan and I have been married 19 years, together for 23. The
best advice I can offer is to treat each other with the same respect and consideration you
would give to your oldest and dearest friend. Because, with any luck, three or four decades
down the line, that's exactly what you will be to each other. Of course it's not going to be
all wine and roses, but if you can at least remain civil when you disagree, if you can avoid
saying anything unforgiveable, you're halfway to working it out. I am appalled by couples
who snap and snipe and bicker publicly. All I can think is, "My god, if they'd carry on like
in public, what must they be like at home?"

Thanks, Penny, for that statement -- it's enlightening in a day when most marriages are lucky to
    last a few years.

Yes, congratulations Shaun and Kath! Best wishes to you both for a long and happy union.

I have to agree with Kathleen. It amazes me how rude some couples can be to each other. I think that
would be a bad sign, and would make me feel pretty bad if I were in such an exchange. I had a
girlfriend who behaved like that for a short time once. Very unpleasant. I had to replace her ASAP!

My misses and I have only been married about 8 years (annevarsary in 6 days). But we've been
together for 12 years and I'd absolutely do it all over again. I'd also be a disorganized wreck
without her, so not only do I want to be her campanion, I NEED her as mine (in may ways of course).
    It's nice being a team.

And, as matter of fact, I do take my daily dose of chemicals. Just different ones, I'm rather fond
    of breathing.

Oh, a condom, duh, why didn't I think of that. Day late and so on. Funny thing is, I thought I'd be
miserable when I found out, but I'm actually excited. Really excited.

no, i just get tired of men moaning about how someone got pregnant, ( even if they decide that
it's ok) when **for the most part** they let women deal with the contraceptive issue. I see no
    humor in it.

It does end when you get married - you get to know each other so well that it becomes far, far
    better and

Then you have kids and it all starts again as things change then. It wont be the same as you have
now, it will just keep being different and better (Apologies for being male and positive about
marriage / kids, but I adore mine) Mark
