the new 4/S-either smokey or spicy. The smoky sounds interesting.

It's Penzeys.

They have lots of great stuff. Aside from the normal herbs and spices I
recommend two things:

Their adobo seasoning mix is great on all sorts of things, mainly meat
and poultry. It has a Mexican theme to it, I think. Very nice.

The Sunny Singapore mix is my favorite. It is somewhat like a curry
powder but no hotness and not as intense. I have used it on chicken,
fish, eggs, and a lot of other things.

You can use them in any recipe that calls for dried red pepper flakes.
They have an interesting taste. Aleppo chile flakes are common in
Middle Eastern food.

Everything, although I usually keep it on the table and add as desired.
My wife doesn't like hot food, and the rest of us do, so adding at the
table works best for us.

Being from The Ozarks, I think it's funny that the Ozark Seasoning has
ingredients in it that most Ozarkers would hardly recognize. I've
never bought it or used it, but it smelled nice in the store.

Thanks for holding this discussion! I was inspired to find the
Penzey's web site where they have a store locator. I was
pleasantly surprised to find one within easy reach. It is at
1040 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD. A fascinating place, look
for *Penzey's Spices*, and they even have adequate parking.

I got both the 4/S Smoky and the Spicy; both are good but I do like the
Smoky a little bit better. I also got the new Tuscan Sunset; it's good
but not great; don't think I will buy it again. One of my favorite
blends is the Bavarian Seasoning. Carol
