  1. suggestions please, after a 4 hour ride the other day my
frank went numb beans ok, i blew it off as my new riding
bibs were causing friction rub and that caused a numb feeling.
well other day i wore diff shorts after a 2 hour ride same thing!
i have a fizik saddle wich ive been happy with and havent changed any seat postions or anything else. only thing that
has changed is my wieght im 7lbs lighter now then when i
bought the saddle. i have been puting more time on the bike
more then ever but never had a problem with 2-3 hour rides
as far as numb goes. i bought the fizik approx 2 months ago
could it be its broke in now and its not for me? im thinking
of putting my slr back on and try it again, it was a lot of
pressure on my [censored] but not numb🙁

That's no good. To clarify -- you were riding an SLR for a while, with no numbness, and then moved to the Fizik 2 months ago; when did the numbness start? I mean, how many good miles did you put on the Fizik before your first episode of numbness occurred?

I guess it could be a couple of things; your weight change certainly could have altered the physiology of your fairy area; you know, a bit of muscle changes there, a glob of fat moves here, a blood vessel gets nudged this way, a nerve that way, who knows.

Maybe the first few weeks on the saddle weren't enough to give you a good idea. Or maybe as it broke in, the Fizik morphed into something that cooperates less well with your blood vessels and nerves.

All in all though, if you can't find a saddle position that works, you need to change up that seat, baby. No sense messing with your machinery.

  3. If you like the saddle position the way it is then you need to change saddles because this one puts pressure in the wrong place on you.

i think your right i put slr back on didnt get to ride
but put on trainer and spun for 30 min so far it
felt better, i could feel the seat on my sitz bones
unlike the fizik covering more area (bigger seat)

makes sense also, thanks for your input gonna try
slr again this seat never made me numb, it was just
a lot of pressure, like you said maybe i didnt give the slr
a long enough ride. other then the numb i thought
the fizik was my saddle, after finding right tilt
wich i guess now wasnt right angle for me after all,
    even though it felt ok.

  5. i used the slr yesterday on a 4 hour ride and no more
numb and so much more comfy couldnt believe it!!

now the problem is my feet started hurting right
under balls of feet also minor knee pain, never had
this problem, could it be the for/aft position? if
so wich way should i go with seat forward or back?

    Hmm. It depends?
I'd certainly suspect that it's fore/aft postion. Likely you mounted it too far forward, or at least forward of where you had it before trying the other saddle.

Your kneecap should not be forward of the pedal axle when the pedal is horizontal and forward. If your kneecap is forward it puts your knee in a disadvantaged position, more prone to injury.

That was exactly my experience. I'd tried a different saddle and it hit me differently resulting in numbness. The saddle I use now hits me on dem bonz and we all finish the ride in good condition. 🙂

thanks bro my knee was forward of the pedal axle,
i was wondering why so much of the nose of the seat
was exposed when sitting. i have a fast 80 mile group
ride sunday i hope i get this dialed in in time.
