  1. I was just wondering how many people are doing WW without
going to the meeting or using the e tools website. I was
going to start weighing myself at home on Wednesday mornings
instead of going to the center to get weighed, I don't go to
the meetings so I thought I would just start weighing at
    home. Kristine

I don't do WW meetings or the online thing. I use fitday to
control what I eat, plus some exercise and weekly WI judged
by my partner. It's definately possible if not easy to do it
    without commercial support.

  3. It's definitely not easy. I'm not going to meetings now, it's a bit costly
for my budget. But when I did go, I really found that I watched my points a
lot more closely. It's one thing to have to answer to yourself, but when you
hop on that scale at the meeting and see +1, it's a lot harder. And when
it's -1, it's very satisfying to advertise your success to the rest of the
    meeting! 🙂

I'm having a rough time of it myself, but I know that
somewhere in me, there's that person who can still do it.

  4. I do it on my own at home. Last time I did WW I went to the
meetings and hated them. Funny how I couldn't stand doing a
public weigh-in, and yet I'll post my weight here!

  5. I'm doing it without going to meetings. I've had pretty good
success (19 pds in 11 weeks), but I can see how having the
support can also be a big benefit. It really depends on the
type of support you need in order to stick with it. Luckily,
I have family and friends that are being very supportive and
that has made all the difference for me.

  6. I wonder if you can post your weight here because while this
is public nobody actually knows who you are unless you have
met them. This makes it less public in a way. Kristine

  7. I've thought about that before. On the one hand I can't see
any of these people. On the other hand a WW weigh-in is over
in minutes and for the most part forgotten about by other
people, whereas this posting will live on for years. Ack.

  8. I've done it both ways. I'm back to going to meetings
because I need the extra level of support it provides. DH is
supportive of my efforts but is totally clueless about how
    to count points.

  11. Pr and I were talking about discussing things here and I think it is a
matter of control. You only disclose what you feel comfortable disclosing.
If you aren't up to discussing you just don't post. Lee

I'm *sort of* going it alone. No meetings, but going to
Curves and doing the WI there so it's a standard medical
type scale. I check my home scale all the time to keep it
real. I have a friend who is going with me to Curves but if
she misses I still go. And I also have been using fitday to
track foods and stuff. As far as support, well, that's why I
    come here. :-)

Hope I can start providing some support as well, as I get to
know everyone. Good luck, Kristine. Just remember whichever
way you decide to go it ultimately comes down to you.
