Well it seems like that Gmail users are taking over the mantle for WebTV subscribers in terms of childish trolls.
why would that be? any thoughts? i recently got a gmail account and I don't notice any change. perhaps it's because gmail is propagating thru the gamer community. does seem strange tho. ....thehick
Most newsreaders allow you to put anything you want in the email entry. It doesn't mean the email address is real - trolls change this frequently to avoid killfiles and to try to gain extra attention. It has nothing to do with gmail, yahoo, webtv, or aol.
How someone can be so miserable and bored to do trolling is beyond me. Making 5 meaningful posts on Usenet per day takes significant time, but to troll is a tremendous waste of time.

I need to see if Outlook or Thunderbird can block all messages from WebTV or Gmail so I do not have to block each one individually.
In some ways I liked the internet better when there were fewer people on it.
"Miserable?" I can't speak for others, but I'm giggling in glee at my imtellectual rants, so I don't think being miserable is accurate, fun would be a better word.
Am I the _other_ Gmail dork - pleased to meet you too, Doug and Sam, long time listener, first time caller - or do you old-timers really perceive such a multiplicity of these Gmail userdorks?

Yeah, that was my TheRapist's advice too, after she talked me back in off the ledge and I stopped bawling long enough to listen. With that kind of consensus, obviously you guys are on to something.
So OK, Vicar, you're posting from gmail too - that had escaped me. Guess that makes at least three of us.
