Hi,
Where as I used to be content with going out in the evenings and weekends touring along at a leisurely speed, now I am contantly trying to better myself every time I go out. Ive taken a real liking to hill climbing and i really get a kick out of completely knackering myself every time im out on my racer. Lately I have been trying to get out every evening weather dependant and every other night I work on my climbing around my local area, I have a circuit planned out that i use that encounters some very steep hills. I have been doing this circuit for the last few weeks now and am finding my fitness levels go up at a incredible speed, I just love it stressing my legs and getting out of breath at regular intervals. The locals around my area must think im mad, going around the same roads 6-7 times in the same evening but its a route for me that is really helping with my fitness and recovery rates. I just wished I lived in a area full of mountains, now that WOULD be a test, no doubt a test that I would curently fall flat on my face on but would be great to try. How many of you out there really works on hill climbing and do you find it a massive achivement when accomplished? Do you find it is a big contributer to your fitness on your bike, and do you find yourself wanting to better yourself everytime you go out?
Ciao... Mr Chris
