The patches are expensive, and worked less than 50% of the
time--though others may have other experiences.

I developed a nasty chemical burn which did not clear up for
more than two weeks.

The slightest perspiration seemed to shut down the watch.

If you have disposable cash, you might try it. Don't
expect miracles.

be "disposing" your cash! My wife pestered me a few times
about the Glucowatch so I went online to find out the skinny
on it (over a year ago) and it all came back negative...

No, they are still making it and you can still buy one, IIRC
the watch itself is only $700 but the supplies are something
like $5000 a year and I don't think that includes batteries
which have to be changed something like every 18 hours and
are also expensive. From stuff I've read, they will be
getting better and better, of course, but I wouldn't say now
is the time to buy one 🙂

overall comments that I've been seeing. I tried a demo unit,
and it was an expensive toy that was uncomfortable to use,
expensive, and unreliable.

We can hope. The idea is a good one. If it actually worked
as intended it would be a wonderful thing.

I came across this article about the Pendra watch.
Looks like it's going on sale in Europe in
September. Application for approval in the US has
been made and make take 2 years or more.
