hacking up St. Patty's green. Everybody in my office is
wearing a paper SARS mask.
Yesterday, on the subway, I blew my nose and my left inner
ear popped outwards. Suddenly, the subway lurched to the
side and twisted downwards, like a slow-moving roller
coaster. I couldn't focus. It took almost 2 minutes for my
equilibrium to stabilize. That, my dear, was what I like
to call "a new one".

riding nothing, good thing you weren't driving.
I had an uncle several years ago that suddenly developed an
inner-ear infection (or rather suddenly developed symptoms
of). this was while he was driving back from work. from what
he told, he had a similar experience. he managed to escape
an accident from a pot-hole that pulled him off the road and
into an open field.
I ain't no doctor, but if it happens again anytime soon, you
may wanna get it checked out.
