Locked up his front wheel and went down.... he was at the back so didn't take anyone with him.....what was he doing ?

That was a bit unexpected. Liquigas takes it and Lampre beats Disco.
How much time did Disco lose waiting for Popo?

They didn't really wait... well they slowed but it was on the the third to last turn... Although Popo was flagging and hanging at the back... DC lost White and the guy from Norway early on..... I'd say they lost about 15-20 secs from it.... the only worry was that Popo didn't look great...... DiLuca looked super....

Disco's roster looks [censored]. Hincapie is probably just there to get some racing in. As usual they don't support the leader in any GT other than the Tour. And Popo would have only been given the leadership role two weeks ago. He was probably on schedule to peak at the Tour, so he won't do well. They should have drafted Tommy D. for the Giro team and let him take the fall for doing badly when not prepared. -
Great TT from Liquigas, Lampre was very good too. Everything else was expected (Astana, Disco, CSC). It looks like Popo's little bit nervous... Well, Disco should give him leading role in some race long time ago, he'd learn how to deal with pressure.
Now, after this TTT, I think we'll watch two very exciting duels: Cunego - Simoni for overall; and Savoldelli - Di Luca for podium. Di Luca looks very good and motivated (personaly, I didn't expect him to be so strong in this TT), Savoldelli looked stronger than the team he was supported by.
In high mountains, on the front, we'll watch the race for overall, behind them battle for podium. In time trials - inverse (although Di Luca isn't known for his TTing abilities he'll be in TT mix, he showed today he's ready).
