He is doing fine. He did all he could to win a stage this year, and has come very close, but never made it. Appears to be a combination of bad luck and lacking a wee bit of form.

Mr Petacchi was somewhat fortunate with the crash happening when it did.
I have to admire the sprinters though.
They battle their way through the mountain stages and when the stages start to flatten out, they're up for the sprint.
Part of why I love the sport.
Yes Lim, I thought about riders like Petacchi climbing the Tre Cime. All in the hope of being competitive in a sprint finish a few days later. Whoa.
