Giro Di Brisbane

Yeah, I noticed that, even rated a mention in the local newspaper, it's not
far from me, so I'll be riding down to check it out.

riders out the back all the time, but the winning move was when Tony Mann
and Jaaron Poad got away with around 20 minutes to go, and put 30 seconds

and Jaaron Poad got away with around 20 minutes to go, and put 30 seconds
into the field which they maintained as the main group splintered. On the

Yep, a great race and fantastic effort by Tony Mann in particular although Jaaron Poad's racing and travelling this past week were a mighty effort.

The circuit seemed a bit dangerous though and I think the ladies were pulled from the race (?) which was no doubt a bit disappointing for them.

I'll keep dreaming about how good those guys are.

I wonder if the Flight Centre rider who pulled out fairly early and rode into the tent and threw his bike onto the ground followed in a similar manner by his helmet was angry at himself or something else?

Tony Mann also raced at Noosa last weekend and then went across the ditch to race in NZ, so a mighty effort from both those guys. As usual, when that pair get together in a local crit, the race is for third place.

Poad does deserve a special mention. Not only does he work at my LBS (and I have no pecuniary / financial interest to declare there😄 😄 ), he really gets behind the local race scene and fully supports it. [censored] wins every local race on offer though!!!!!

Thanks Monsterman, I didn't realise Tony Mann had also been in Noosa and NZ, so yep, fantastic effort by both he and Jaaron Poad. I don't know enough about the names or the local racing scene in general!

I'm going to try and get out and watch some more though!

Chandler this coming Saturday night looks like it might be worth a visit for a start.

He was riding for Yellow Jersey Bikes in Ipswich yesterday. Is he not at Velo anymore?

Adam 85 I'm pretty sure he's still working out at Velo. He was there a couple of weeks back when I got my set up checked for Noosa. He also seems to still ride a madonne - one that I think Velo makes available for him to use. He raced at Noosa in the Yellow Bikes strip along with at least 2 other guys - so maybe thats a team he's riding on in local events at the moment. He rode for Trek / zookeepers cafe (😕 ) team in NZ last week. He'd have a a jersey or six in the wash😄
