  1. I think that last year about this time I started a post with the same title.
Then it was that Cunego didn't give him enough support in the mountains.
Now it is that Basso was sleazy by asking him to ride slow on the decent
then left him on the run in to the finish. From the Cycling News Stage 20
    report;

"An angry Simoni called Basso an "extraterrestrial" for his crushing
performance and accused him riding unfairly by asking him to ride easy on
the perilous descent off the Mortirolo only to leave him stranded on the
    final hump to Aprica."

I can't understand why he can't just say that he didn't win because someone
    else was faster

    1. He did say that
    http://www.gazzetta.it/Speciali/Giroditalia/2006/it/Primo_Piano/2006/05_Maggio/28/girooggi.shtml
"Non voglio togliere meriti al mio rivale ha vinto perché è stato il più
forte, se avessi vinto io sarebbe stato un suo regalo"

    2. He shouldn't have said it. I mean, what's the point of stating the
obvious or saying politically correct BS? [censored] and whining is the
    real thing.

Well he must have been very disappointed and Basso asking him to take
it easy was certainly on his mind when he got dropped. What I don't
understand is why he couldn't dig in for a couple more kilometers.

since you make this same exact post every time he opens his mouth,
    apparently not.

Not every time, just when he cries like a baby.

Amateur stalking does not qualify for cadbury bars ?

Why? Because Basso clearly **outclasses** Simoni ;-)

ask any astrocdphysicist, they'll tell you that obsession is its own
reward. so nope, no cadbury bars needed.
