Hi all.
What do you guys think about the Giant TCR 3?
(Similar to TCR 2 but using Tiagra set)
How is it compared to Trek 1200?

I'm not sure where your living, but in the United States there isnt a TCR 3 There is the TCR, but that uses 105 components. I think the frame is a really good one, and 105 isnt bad if thats what you can afford. You'd rather have Ultegra if you can get it.

Frame wise, the TCR is better than the Trek 1200. However, I have never seen a TCR with Tiagra on.
Are you sure it's not an OCR? That would make more sense......
If it's an OCR, then there isn't much difference with the Trel 1200.
But I suggest dishing out some more money and go for the 1400. Better components, ans will not catch the "upgrading bug" as quickly!

Yep, its a TCR 3 alright

Difference from a OCR 3 is that its Tiagra and a integrated forged headtube (what's that??)

Hmmm..... it's a Singapore shop, so I guess they make different models there.
As I said, a TCR frams is better (for build quality) than the one you get for a Trek 1400.
However, if, you can, i'd go for one better. Either a Trek 1400 (1500) or a TCR2. The components just go better, that's all.
It's a bit like having a Porsch with VW Golf tyres, in the case of the TCR3. Nothing wrong with it, works perfectly, but just doesn have the so called "bling" to it.

Glad to know that someone thinks the TCR frame is better.
Coz TCR 3 is already breaking my budget limit 😄
So... can't afford the extra "bling blings"
LOL

Alright, if that's the case, the go for the TCR3.
That way, you'll have a decent frame when/if you upgrade.
