I've been working on my 2002 Giant OCR for a couple of months now as money is available for upgrades. I have everything installed with the exception of the saddle and seatpost.

This is sweet. I have a 2001 (I think) OCR 2, with an integrated headset. Stem is 1-inch threaded, and I've been trying like hell to get a 1-1/8 threadless conversion. How did you do it??

I had to go with a 1" headset and fork... it was tough to find but found them on www.nashbar.com on sale at the time.
Two main reasons for the frame... the biggest was cost. I found the entire stock bike for $275 Buy it Now on eBay. I also like the paint scheme a lot. I figured buying these components I could still swap them out when I found another frame that I liekd and weighed less - exactly like the TCR compoisite frame on that link you sent me.
And please feel free to pass the hat around for me! I'll return the favor one day when I get some money!🙂
I admit its no worse/better than my Try bike project. Last year I started out with a $99 NOS TT frameset, a '98 Wheeler, and it just went on from there.. $K2 later.... :eek:
I ride an OCR2-05. A major reason for buying the Giant was that it had a reputation for frames not breaking and I had a reputation for breaking frames.
About a month ago, a guy on the group ride with me had a Giant with an identical looking frame to yours, he had done better, he got the entire bike for free. Don't we all need friends like that.
