Giant crx2

I have two friends with CRX2 bikes.

The standard seatpost is a suspension type 27.2mm
The stem is the adjustable type, about 105mm long, 1&1/8 steerer tube.

I find all components on the bikes OK except for the tyres.
We had Continental Ultra Gator Skins fitted to each bike, 23mm for the gents, 25mm for the ladies. Glass on paths here is a problem.

It is known in the UK and USA as the FCR.

could you also measure the handlebar diameter for me please - to know which stem / shim to use. Thanks, Mark, will watch out for the glass.

I have this spare Giant carbon / alloy stem.

1 1/8" steerer and 26mm bar.

P.S. Does anyone know who the jerk was who decided it would be a good idea to size stems as metric one end and imperial the other.

Flat bars are 25.4mm.

One more question. Will the gears / brakes etc. fit nicely onto a Bontager Bullhorn type handlebar rather than use bolt on bar ends to get out the wind?
Also, can anyone recommend good shop in Perth WA which has a range of bars stems, seatposts etc in stock?

No these are Shimano Flat Bar Components. You need Time Trial/Triathlon Componenrs for Bull Horn Bars. You can use aero bars with flat bars.

I use Runners World, cnr of Roe and Fitzgerald Streets Perth. They are a specialist Tri shop and also Giant Dealers.
