got any evidence to back that up?

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
No, because 100% of the people with first-hand experience failed to return
    their questionnaires.

No, because 100% of the people with first-hand experience failed to return

I still want to know about the other 5%.

A large proportion of bicycle crashes are single-vehicle
crashes, so I suppose there'd be some fatalities in
    that set.

    cheers,

We're supposed to have confidence in data from an organization that sends
out questionaires to those 'first-hand experience' people??

This is beginning to sound like Earnest Worthing trying to explain to
Algernon Moncrieff why Earnest's small aunt who lives in Tunbridge Wells
    calls him her uncle...

  9. I'll haveto refresh my memorybutthat is actually not even close! Yes
if you are struck from behind it will more than likely be fatal (prolly
95%) Most car bike accident...errrr excuse me..CRASHES are caused but
the motorist and the cyclist is unable to take corrective action. The
most common type of crash? Motorist pull out mid-block (failed to
stop) or backing out of a drive way. BTW..I am a Police Cyclist and
have 1st hand experience in Car vs. Bicycle Accidents. I was the
cyclist! Somehow...I survived a vehicle that turned in front of me
then backed out in front of me. Well...for the whole story go to my
    homepage at:

    http:\\faculty.plattsburgh.edu\robert.light There are picts there
too...some of me and some of the new (3 day old Jeep) that I slammed
    into at about 30+ MPH.

I will double check my facts on the crash data. Take care all! As a
Cyclist you'll have a crash ever 5000 miles or so....hopefully it will
    just be a simple fall!

5000 miles or so? That sucks since it's been about 3 years and 4500 miles
since the last road rash and stitches episode, hereabouts. Maybe the
helmet will keep the glass lenses away from the eyebrows next time.
