Getting cut off by Kirsipuu

Kirsipuu made that move because of another rider in front of him who
came off his line. I'm not sure which rider that was, I think it was
Tom Boonen.

Yeah, but I'm not in the Netherlands. Someone was going to correct "Peloton"
anyway; it's a favourite hobby of the newsgroup.

As for the feeling in the pelOton: it will be directed at Boonen, not
Kirsipuu.

Dude... the guy who cannot spell PELOTON is from
Cornell -- he's new to the sport and certainly should
know better how to spell a very common RBR word.

No reason to stick up for him. If the Cornell dude can
spell Kirsipuu he should be EXPECTED to spell "peloton" correctly.

I couldn't see from the coverage that it was Boonen causing the
reaction, but the rider that swung out was Jean-Patrick Nazon (clearly
wearing ugly dark glasses) not Kirsipuu. Kirsipuu was on the inside of
the turn (and doesn't wear ugly sunglasses) and with his experience
probably would not have reacted the same way. Nazon could have
avoided the situation but it would have cost him his sprint.

No, it was Kirsipuu. In a short interview with Norwegian TV2 (which
broadcasts TdF in Norway), he said he didn't realize what had happened until
he saw the replay on TV.

I thought it was Kirsipuu. He had an Ag2R jersey, finishing
behind his teammate Nazon.

It looked reckless to me to swing out like that. He was clearly
frustrated trying to get to the front.

He was on the end of a wave that was initially caused by Boonen
wobbling as his chain jumped/gear slipped.

If they really weren't happy with it, they would have raised a protest
- by lifting an arm, signaling to the judges. This was seen in the
Giro d'Italia and would have been taken extra-seriously yesterday
because there WAS a crash. But there was no protest and the rider who
went down didn't [censored], so he's off the hook. These things are
expected to happen.

Also, some think it was Tom Boonen who caused it and not Kirsipuu.

So, Tom - tell us how you think Canada did not do enough in

Kyle is a real Canadian. Canada is NOT what it once was. The CF were man for
man one of the best military on the planet.
Today after firearms grabbing, funding that is appropriate for a local
constabulary, hatred and scorn from the Liberals and a large portion of urban
Canada, decimation of rural values have gutted a proud capable force.

We just had an election. The majority of the people chose a
certain ideal which included control of deadly weapons,
independence of foreign policy, and respect for basic human
values. I am sorry if you feel that is wrong, but that is
how most Canadians feel.

Whenever there is a legitimate threat to Canada or our
allies, or even a threat to people we don't know in other
countries, Canada is there, unlike certain "superpowers"
which only respond (and only allow others to respond) when
it meets their strategic goals.

If some despot attempts to take over the World again, Canada
will spend whatever we have to, and commit whatever people
we have to. Our record on this is impeccable, unlike the
"sole superpower" which has sat out the last two World Wars
until the last minute.

I don't think that Canada is going to go to war soon to
ensure the supply of oil to the U.S. Sorry about that. I
guess you hate us, but we can live with that.
