My husband told me to quit [censored] at him and tell someone who cares, so
here goes: (and I apologize in advance)
I prefer to purchase as many Atkins products as I can by way of vitamins,
shakes, bread and convenience foods, because Atkins Nutritionals was formed
to fund the Robert C Atkins, which, in turn, funds alternative medicine
reasearch. This was Dr Atkins' life work, his passion, and he thus far has
been the only doctor that I have EVER heard of trying to get people off the
medications they are currently taking and onto a natural supplement or
nothing at all....also, every batch of food made by Atkins Nutritionals is
sent to an independent lab for testing, which cant be said for most other
"low carb" brands. And, I dont think other large corporations that have
recently jumped on the low-carb bandwagon support anything but their
executive's pocketbooks.
Speaking of all the Johnny-come-latelies, naysayers, or anyone else that
wants to make a quick buck off the "new low-carb phenom", please, read the
book and quit LYING about Atkins being bad for people! Induction wasnt
meant to last for the rest of someone's life! Heeelllllloooooo! He was a
Cardiologist! With 40 years of experience with the low-carb WOE! People
that follow the plan lose their excess weight, and eat a healthy,
nutrient-rich, whole-food diet!
Can we all face something together, (inhale) if everyone gave up the
processed foods that are killing us, all those large corporations would be
OUT OF BUSINESS, so they are desperately trying to find (fund) research out
there that discredits Dr Atkins! (exhale slowly)
By the way, someone has been asking for info about another plan out there
and my opinion is this: you cant have 1 "free day" per week and expect to
stabilize your blood sugar so that you can be free of cravings, nor can you
wildly binge one day per week and expect to loose any weight! Weightlifting
will only get you so far!
there, I said it, and it sure felt good! I promise to post more often so I
wont be so overblown next time!
