Yo Skip,
I never suggested having NoCom arrested. Nope. And I didn't say I kept up with Monkey Island shenanigans. Just visited there and checked it out now and then. Visited. Exited.
As for "...posting this to every bike group 'in the known universe' " I know not of what you speak. I've only posted this to arbr. Does it get picked up by other newsgroups, etc?
Wishing you and yours a sincere Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Cheers

The above has to be one of the worst posts I have ever seen on Usenet in terms of format. Can we try to adhere to standard Usenet protocol when quoting and posting?

I have noticed that Joe Keenan's posts are not the same as others. That is why I had to write in "Edward Dolan wrote:" Whenever I compose a message, it looks fine on my Outlook Express newsreader, but it often looks different when it shows up after I have posted. Who knows what is going on.

Ed,
You need to watch out for signature separators when quoting.

I think it's Joe Keenan's newsreader.
This was my question to him when I responded to one of his posts:
"What newsreader are you using? It doesn't attribute your quotes and therefore requires all the Joe said Skip said [censored] if your post is to be responded to piecemeal".
I agree it is a mess. You are the posting expert. What's the problem?
If you're seeing a wierd format, blame Google. I'm replying to posts directly on the "Google Groups BETA" site. I do not use a newsreader.
I log in, hit reply, and a box opens for me to type my response.
Regards,
Slow Joe
P.S. Tom, I never did get your direct reponse to my question. Highly unlike you to resist a response!! (gr&d).
Slow Joe,
I probably never saw your question. There seems to be a propagation problem somewhere, with some Usenet news services not picking up "Google Groups" postings. I have noted several responses to your posts in recent weeks where I never say the original.

Tom,
I'll do a <snip> copy and paste when I respond to a post here. I'm overseas and for some reason (Qatar "CENSORSHIP"?) I can not get a newsreader to work. In the meantime, I've always capitalized RANS. Cheers
