  1. I'm just back from hospital. Sadly Euan has managed to break some bones in his leg and had surgery today to pin the knee back in the correct place. I should point out this wasn't a cycling injury. We actually have no idea how it happened. I was away for a few days and got a call early on Saturday morning. Euan doesn't remember how he managed to hurt himself but I am fairly certain that he was relatively sober by that stage! Early prognosis is 12 weeks on cruches which is going to be difficult for Euan.

Hopefully he will be home and posting again soon.

There must be a handcycle in his future!

Legs are surprisingly easy to break, I know someone who broke hers
    getting out of a taxi.

Speedy recovery Euan. I know how frustrating it is when not able to ride.

    Heyzooos!

Pins around the knee region don't sound good.
Not being able to remember it sounds even worse. or better. I can't figure out which one 😕
Suzie, you obviously can't leave the silly bugger alone for a minute!!!
There just HAS to be a good story behind this?!?!?

C'mon Euan. What was her name. You_can_tell_us... 🙄

We'll blame a four-wheel drive by default until we get the full story.

Interesting, as you thought initially it could of been cycling-related? One of my sisters walked around with a shin hairline fracture for about a month before she got it checked out, ie: the aching pain was actually a sign of something *very wrong*. Is it possible Euan had a fall or similar beforehand and then unwittingly rode with a injury, ie: something akin to a repetitive stress injury? 🙁

A friend compound fractured both tibia and fibula playing "tiggee" with his 3 yr old daughter in the house. Naasstyyy!!!! No prior injury. No bone density issues. He put it down to "one of those planetary alignment things".

So sometimes, sh!t just happens. Daughter quite afraid of playing tiggee now apparently. Daughter afraid of playing tiggee now apparently.
