Following the massive success of the last attempt to build our way out of congestion, the Government
has announced a cave-in^H^H^H^H^H^H^H programme of motorway widening.

It will cost £6bn (but will not of course stop cagers bleating about how overtaxed they are). There
was a £1bn programme not too long ago, I seem to recall. So that's £7bn for mobile death
greenhouses.
Given the Government's stated aim of boosting sustainable transport, this can only be good news!
Clearly they must be planning to match this with equal funding for sustainable transport, otherwise
they will never achieve their goals.
So let's see where the billions of pounds for sustainable transport will be spent! I bet the man
with the paint bucket gets a prominent role :-(
