    I had finally had enough of wet and cold feet! I tried all kinds of
    things. Foot warmers, neoprene socks, neoprene shoe covers, and even
    plastic bags. Nothing worked with my shoes. The neoprene covers would
    slip off for no apparent reason, the socks were very uncomfortable, and
    the foot warmers didn't last long enough.

    I noticed that Speedgoat had the Lake Winter shoes on sale (big sale)
    with my size available (41 - I have small feet). I know a few people
    with them and they swear by them, so I bought them. I have to say they
    are the most comfortable MTB shoes I have ever worn. The leather is so
    soft and the neoprene liner kept my foot dry and toastie! They seal up
    so well, I don't think pouring a bucket of water on them can penetrate
    into the shoe. Definitely worth the purchase. My 26 mile ride today at
    34F was spectacular (and warm).

    Lakes are the cat's a$$ around here. Lots of winter riders going over
    to them. For me, my neopreme booties keep me warm enough, and I don't
    ride in the rain. Glad you like em.

    I dress like a polar bear when I ride, layered for the 10-20 deg F
    mornings I usually confront in CO. My feet are no different - Wool
    socks, with neoprene socks over those, and hiking boots over those.

    I'm certainly not breaking any speed records with all these clothes on,
    but I don't get cold!

    Timberland socks work for me. And when its wet the Ducks
    go on. Just like today, even found a pair of Weatherproof gloves. They
    really stay dry and didn't cost big bucks.
