I like it and if you read the race report it sounds like he earned the
right. It also makes the teamwork a little more obvious to the
dumbasses who wouldn't notice otherwise.

Celebrating when your teammate wins = awesome, because despite the
dumbassery on display in this thread, cycling is a team sport.

Celebrating as you're getting beaten, a la Zabel or Boonen = mortifying.

an overexuberant victory celebration: on the podium, holding the
victor's magnum.

Well I can't do a proper victory salute any more after injuring my
shoulder. I had just finished PT on the shoulder when I went and
injured my hand and knee. I was at the Rapids season opener against
the LA Beckhams a few weeks ago and when they scored their first goal,
I threw up my arms like I'd just won a fatty masters crit. It hurt
like hell.
