As most of you know, I run 6-8 miles a day. Previously, I used to drink water during the run and sometimes "hit the wall" and even feel like "fainting" after the run etc.
Recently, I started drinking gatorade (the mix, not the bottle) during the run and it really helps me "run better" and not "faint" after the run. I usually drink about 4-5 cups of Gatorade (1 cup, 0.75 scoop is about 70 calories so 5 cups would be around 350 calories)
I'm also running to loose weight. Should I cut down on the gatorade? maybe 2 cups instead of 4?

You're trolling, right?
tkb
WTF? Can't anyone post a question without getting called a troll???
I've been against him fo a while now. David set me straight. Remember?
I don't remember, but am relieved and even a little excited to hear it. TKB, we need more booty-licious wimmin like you on our side. Liberal girls are allright too - some of 'em more than allright - but they're, well you know...

Assuming you have eaten normally during the day, or had a light breakfast before running, you should not be feeling faint from a 6-8M run. One burns, on average, 100 calories per mile. The body can store 2000 readily usable calories. While replacing some of the calories being burned during the run will help with fatigue, it isn't necessary for anything under 2 hours (unless you're a Kenyan running 4 minute miles!). My guess is that you're running harder/faster than your conditioning warrants. Try slowing down a little and forgo the Gatorade if you really want to lose weight.

Not according to the log he linked to here: http://tinyurl.com/deo2x in which he's claiming an intake of about 1200 calories a day.
OP, I don't have much basis to judge but hope you're just trolling with this stuff. If you're not, please seek help in real life, not Usenet, for your eating disorder.

That could be a problem - serious caloric restriction along with running 6 to 8 miles a day. When I was losing weight using Dietpower software, I would take into account my running time to figure my caloric quota for the day and add about 100/Kcal per mile to my daily intake.
vze1r2ht, if I'm understanding this correctly from your FitDay log for December 3rd: http://tinyurl.com/8pgs8
You ate 1139 Kcals You burned 862 Kcals (running 8 miles) Your net intake is therefore 277 Kcals!!! This is not taking into account other normal activities for the day.
If these are actual figures then this is not healthy. Please reconsider.

I second that. A 19-year-old male needs more than 277 Kcals to survive.
