are doing their work/sales for no charge/profit? If so, you surely
must be jesting :-)
I don't recall Peter or Andy or Sheldon or any others STARTING a
thread by posting something for sale. See the difference?
Yes. I see that some folks may object to others posting a "note"
regarding some money-making venture. Bad form, perhaps. But then,
perhaps not. That said, it still happens. Something about the
"pursuit of happiness" perhaps...
I doubt that the OP will make a fortune or even make a full time
living out of selling those T-shirts.
The fellows you mention are in a full time service business catering
to bicyclists. Thank goodness for them! I have been given some great
advice from several (?) of them. That said, they make money by doing
their business. I hope their friendly contributions and advice are a
form of free advertisement for their exceptional skills and knowledge
I would make an argument that their contributions and free
advertisements of their services CONTINUE. They help the "adventure".
In closing, personally see nothing wrong with advertising a $15
T-shirt stating that bicycles are better than cars. I won't elaborate
on the validity of the message, but I believe it is quite valid - and
should be advertised. Just my opinion. It is OK that you differ in
opinion - differing opinions keep LIFE progressing....
I was merely commenting on YOUR comment about Ken's comment. (The other
Ken's comment, not your... hey, wait a second. Um..............)
Not that I particularly care, but there is a rec.bicycles./marketplace/
designed for buyers and sellers (AFAIK -- don't read it).
Would your opinion change if the OP starts posting his product(s) for sale
3-4 times a day, every day, for, say, days (or weeks) on end? Where does
entrepreneurship end and spamming begin?
Now, if he were a "regular" in this group, and merely had a little sig link
or something, that would be different I suppose. (However, most would still
not appreciate him /starting threads/ about his products, I'd wager.)

that there are nations that have started up because of a difference
of opinion - including the formation of the 13 Colonies (aka The USA)
and it's breaking away by force from England. - I believe it was
called "The war of Insurrection" by the folks in England some 200+
years ago. Just an observation ;-)
Put it on a t-shirt and peddle it! ;-)
