hitting anything, so I am hopeful. Possibly a mis-spent youth piloting
recumbents will help.

Purchased just in time to get plenty of practise in to be time trialling on
it next season...

At least after the Trice you will have the body-awareness that just
leaning over isn't enough, which is what seems to get most people.

Can't really see the drive too well in the pic, is it a differential or
RHD (to help you cruise down the camber into kerbs all the better, as
happened to yours truly first time on a Kettwiesel)?

I am reliably informed that it is indeed 2WD with a diff, though that bit of
the rear axle appears to wrapped in pipe lagging.

Hate to point this out, but you seem to have too many wheels!

Kidding aside, the bloke who always comes a few seconds ahead of me in
every blooming TT I do is on a trike. There must be something special
about these beasts. Certainly when the ice comes, I will be wishing I
was one wheel up on the deal!

🙂 Happy new toy. I have to ask why though, its an upright trike -
simply slower and less agile than a normal bike with the same riding
position?!

Curiosity made me buy a s/h one a while back. Had to see what everyone was
on about, what with them being impossible to ride and all that.
Since then I've really enjoyed it, but I don't know why ! !
Must be the challenge and redialing the body' reflexes to suit. It's not
easy to train the inside foot to be at the bottom round a turn on a trike
and at the top on a bike, amongst other things.

If you don't fall off that on the first bend I want to know why.

Trikes in the UK tend to be LHD if they are one wheel drive so that pushes
you up the camber. Not as bad as the Kett that was designed for the right
side of the road and therefore has RWD which doesn't work well in the UK.

A bit like dismissing a uni as slow and unstable. It is, but that's not
the point. The point is another alternative for *fun*...

As does the physical effort of replacing and pumping up the tyres after
