No. However many of the current receivers will have been retired by the

Galileo receivers will use GPS satellites too but GPS receivers won't
use Galileo sats.

Good thing is that in answer to:-
5) Which use of Galileo interests you the most?

Outdoor pursuits has the highest proportion, outstripping even the incar
navigation brigade.

Yes the insurance industry agrees with me that the US DoD might pull GPS
at a moments notice, so one can not use it on safety critical things.
Galileo will make its money from safety critical applications, as part of
the autopilot systems of aircraft, ships and the like.

Whereas something the French and Italians built =WILL= have bugs in, be
over budget, and arrive late (if at all). 8>. (c.f. WAAS vs. EGNOS,

Yes, I was quite surprised about that too. The question about whether
train protection or road charging was more likely to benefit us is a
bit weird, I thought. Turkeys and Christmas spring to mind...
