  1. A blast from the past. I was looking through the archives.

I have been competing for over 5 yrs. I am pretty good. I have heard the
good, the bad, and the ugly arguements about shaving for a race, or
    shaving period.

My question is simple. I have never shaved anything besides my face,
which I use an electric razor. i have tried to use a regular razor and
ending up cutting myself. I want to try one race with a shaven body, to
see if I swim faster. How do I go about doing it so i dont cut myself,
and I dont leave stubble? should i shave under my swimsuit? and how??

I dont want all the arguements for or against it, I just want to know
how, so i can seee for myself. i may do it constantly, or for just
meets, or may never do it again.

    Micheal.

    The same.

  4. You mention that some people on here are trolls. I hope you dont look in the
mirror. You might just see the worst one on here.

Instead of being rude, insultive.... why dont you be usefull with your
    "infinite" wisdom?

I guess you never learned that when swimming, if you actually do swim.

1kph? do you mean 1 km/hr? You have got to be from the USA. I actually do a
little over 2 km/hr. I can do 1 km in less than 30 mins. I think you should
go back to school for remidial math. I will be in the other classroom
    learning how to spell.

It says you were a competitive swimmer for over five years. It says you
were pretty good. That was January of 2004. After you posted that, you
disappeared for awhile, but then you reappeared, and since reappearing,
you have been pretending to know nothing about swimming. You have asked
every stupid question in the book. More than once in some cases, but I
    didn't post those messages.

So, yeah, some people here are trolls. Apparently.

I have never made incorrect statements. I do not try to provoke people. I

Is shaving your body not something a swimmer might do? If someone has never

I don't. I'm using my real name. I have used my real name in the past. I

I was taking the 1 kph from your post where you were 'planning' to swim the
    Great Lakes.
by the way, here in Europe we use kph just as the Americans use mph, and not
    m/ph.

    Martin W. Smith
    M. W. Smith
    m. w. smith
    Martin Smith
    mwsmith
    Dusty.Rhodes
    Duke Kahanamoku

    And from my Groucho period:
    Otis B. Driftwood
    Rufus T. Firefly
    WolfJ.Flywheel
    S.QuentinQuale
    JeffreyT.Spaulding

It took a long time to find all these, but I did get to see the complete
