  1. Not bike related but still had me almost fall out of my chair.
Today is the day we put garbage cans out for collection.
My wife went out to take a last load and when she opened the garbage can
it said "Go away, I have a headache". Needless to say she freaked and
came running in, thinking we had a haunted garbage can or something.
It turns out that when we put the cans out people who are walking by use
them. We have an adult [censored] toys store about 2 blocks away and somebody
had purchased a gag vibrator (girl toy) and tossed the box. The speech
mechanism was in the box and light activated so every time the garbage
can was opened it spit out some wise crack. After my wife figured it out
she has now sworn to only put the cans out after dark.
It is still the only smart ass talking garbage can I have ever heard of.

I'd really rather have another story like the 50 mph tricycle piloted
by that "4.5" year old daredevil Bill Baka.

I agree, but it would be made better if you told us what the other recorded
remarks were. How about a new game: we submit remarks that SHOULD be on
the device. My submission: "Are we having fun yet?

  6. ok, THAT is definitely a keeper...

....I'm serious, find a way to permanently install that sucker on yer trash
    can...

    ....hmmm...marketable novelty...marketable novelty...hmmm

Do you think the Sesame Street people would give you any trouble about
stealing their idea for a talking trash can??

    Umm,
It had a lot of non-printables for a family group. The look on my wife's
face was priceless though (to me). She has been watching the Sci-Fi
Twilight zone marathon all week so she was really primed for something
    like that.

I wasn't thinking about that but you know, it might be possible.
How about, "someone just fed me and I'm full...Buuurp".
Without the grouch head popping up it might be OK.
It sure would freak out some kids doing their chores.
    <evil grin>

You're going to have trouble getting the sanitation guys to take it
away with that kind of attitude.

    Nah,
Here they never get out of the truck since they have those hydraulic
grabbers that just lift it up and dump it over and behind their heads.
Gone are the days when I could go out and feed an old couch in and have
it chomped piece by piece by a rear loader. Even the drivers were making
verbal bets with me about how many chomps to eat a big couch.
Now I have to borrow a pickup and pay $20 at the dump.
I miss the old trucks. If you could cram it in that hydraulic jaw would
always win. I even did a chest freezer once, totally impressive.

Damn, I'd have fished the box out and kept the talkie chip.

I thought about it but she really hates those things. Somebody bought
her a talking "Chuckie" doll when the first movie came out and damn near
gave her a heart attack when the damn thing opened it's eyes and said
    "I'm going to kill you.".

I probably don't need to say that being married 27 years does draw some
lines in the sand that you dare not cross.

I just got my bike and rode about 10 miles, snickering here and there.
