shipping included in lower 48 US. Pictures available.

Okay, I'll do the obligatory Evil Thing, and ask whether, with some of
the carbon "spokes" detatched from the rim, the wheel was standing on
the lower spokes or hanging from the uppers...

Observation; those aren't spokes, it's a highly ventilated disc,
dammit!)

They are spokes, just not now-conventional tensioned spokes. Those
three-spoke motorcycle and bike wheels have spokes. The etymology of the
word spokes derives from wooden wagon wheels, you know, block of wood for
the hub, wood bent into a circle for a rim, and sticks for spokes, which
are nearly pure *compression* members rather than tension.

Nope, I've got a Spinergy RevX here, and those are not spokes; a spoke
is an individual separable member, and these wheels use two carbon
fiber disc-shaped structures (with four large triangular cutouts) to
attach the rim to the hub. Ergo, the wheel doesn't have spokes as
such.
