  1. For sale. Like new Power Cranks. Only ridden three times for
about 2 hours of total ride time. 175mm length for a shimano
splined bottom bracket. These sell for $690.00 new without
chainrings. I will include 53/39t chainrings for $575.00
shipped in the U.S. Check out www.powercranks.com for
    information on these cranks.

  2. I have to say that the peformance cost\benefit ratio of
these cranks does not impress. I've read many reports of the
utter agony that they induce, and thus reduced total
training volume. The problem here is that the cranks are
mechanically sound, but not biomechanically. From an
anatomical perspective, the hip flexors' power potential
will always be dwarfed by that of the hip extensors. Thus, a
rider will never be able to apply power symmetrically around
the pedal stroke. To try to force the body to achieve this
improbable goal is time poorly spent, in my opinion. I
believe a better approach might be rotor cranks, which
appear to address the inherent inability of the human body
to apply power symmetrically. The concept is similar to
    biopace chainrings.

To summarize, I think this is why we are seeing slightly
used powercranks for sale, as their users have determined
that the cost/benefit is too large.
